What’s like being an Online Marketing Intern?

As an Online Marketing Intern, you will join a dynamic and fast-paced marketing team and work on various projects for clients. You will be involved in all aspects of online marketing, including SEO, SEA, and social campaigns. On a daily basis, you will have a variety of tasks such as writing copy, conducting SEO audits, setting up and optimizing paid ads, and more. Through this 20-week internship, you will gain valuable experience in online marketing while contributing to the success of our clients.

What we would like to see from you

Having the right skills is helpful. But we find an inquisitive attitude at least as important, and is sometimes even decisive.

Are you familiar with the basics of SEO and do you know roughly how a paid-ads environment, such as Google Ads, works? Then we dive deeper into the material during your internship. If you don't have the knowledge yet, we'd love to teach you. Here’s the list of qualities we’re looking for (and it’s okay if you don’t have the Royal Flush):

  • 3rd or 4th year student studying Commercial Economics, Communication, Entrepreneurship and Retail Management or Creative Business.
  • Previous experience with SEO or SEA, such as through a side job or running your own online company, is a plus.
  • You have a preference for writing in a smooth and light style, instead of the traditional textbook approach.
  • A strong command of Dutch, and proficiency in English is preferred.
  • You will be expected to work at our Noordwijk location for 50% of the time, with the remaining time spent working from home.
  • Available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week and be organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • You enjoy coming up with new ideas and finding creative solutions.

What we offer

Needless to say you can expect good internship compensation. But above all you can expect an educational internship. ‘A Great Place to Grow’ is central to New Story. This gives you time to obtain, for example, Google Ads certificates. Also important is the environment we offer. Figuratively and literally. The workplace is a beach villa that overlooks the North Sea. An art deco bar as reception. An espresso machine that you say to yourself. Three sunny terraces. Two large black bastard barbecues. Bridget's lunches. Parties where we go all out. You'll find that sort of thing at New Story.

Type of clients you get to work for

In the performance marketing team of New Story you work for various clients. From emerging webshops to large (marketing) websites. Think of a company that makes handmade furniture, a recruitment website of a local healthcare institution and an international player in the fruit and vegetable industry. And not unimportantly, we work on our own brand almost every day. We love variety!

New Story: the short story

We are Creative Marketing Engineers working to make progress every day. We believe that the growth of our Newstorians is ahead of our clients’ digital evolution. Our team consists of 70+ experts that can roughly be divided into strategists, creatives, marketers, UX-writers and a multidisciplinary group of developers. Together we make beautiful things that work. This is mainly reflected in the on-going development and growth of digitally driven platforms.
